Dr. George Jacob began his career by earning an MBBS from Manipal University, followed by an MS in Orthopedics from Nitte University. He then pursued further specialization as a Joint Preservation Fellow at Osaka University in Japan, where he refined his skills in advanced treatment techniques and research in regenerative orthopaedics.
After his fellowship, Dr. Jacob was appointed as the sports and arthroscopy consultant at Tejasvini Hospital, Mangalore. He was subsequently awarded the knee specialty fellowship at the Sydney Orthopaedic Research Institute, Australia and was then recognised as a fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association.
With over 40 peer-reviewed publications to his name, Dr. Jacob remains actively engaged in research. He is a member of several prestigious organizations and continues to collect and engage in research activities.

At Avant Orthopaedics, Dr. George Jacob is in charge of the knee service and offers a wide spectrum of orthopaedic services focusing on joint preservation, knee arthroplasty, and state-of-the-art arthroscopic surgeries for sport injuries. His approach incorporates advanced techniques such as robotics, 3D printing technology and biologic regenerative therapies.
